The government changed several passport regulations in order to simplify the procedure, and new passport regulations were published in December 2016.
Previously, applicants who were married had to show a marriage certificate as a proof that they have a Court Marriage In Gurgaon. Additional Rules Changes Regarding Passports

The applicants who were born on or before January 1, 1989, were subject to these regulations. In order to prove their date of birth, applicants can now use any of the following documents: a birth certificate, an Aadhaar card, a PAN card, a transfer or school leaving certificate, or a matriculation certificate with DOB.
  • A single parent or legal guardian's name: Now, if the applicant chooses, he or she need only provide information for one parent or legal guardian. In response to this desire, a special committee was formed to look into the problems affecting both adopted children and children with single parents.
Validity of a Marriage Certificate

  • The following documents must be submitted with this fully completed form:
  1. The original passport and a copy of the first and last two pages that has been attested
  2. A joint affidavit from the couple, accompanied with joint photos, and an attested copy of the marriage certificate.
  3. Proof of address
  • The aforementioned should be submitted online, after making an appointment at the Passport Seva Kendra, or both.
  • After the necessary alterations have been made, the applicant will get direct delivery of the new passport
