The couple believes there is no difference between a registered marriage (paper marriage) and a court marriage. They are not alike, though. If there are no traditions involved, marriage can occur in a few different ways. A court marriage is performed in front of the marriage official, who grants a one-month grace period before handing out the marriage certificate. A marriage that is performed according to all customs and is registered serves as proof that the certificate has been obtained after the application has been submitted to the marriage registrar's office.
